In my studio, I give shape to what moves within me. Not as fixed images, but as something still in motion — subtle shifts, undercurrents, the friction between energy and matter. Layer by layer, in mixed media.
My process sometimes feels like alchemy. Something undefined, raw or chaotic, slowly rearranges itself — and something new emerges. I don't smooth over darkness or discomfort. I look for it, read it, give it a place.
For a long time, I feared the void. Until I discovered it was actually a gateway — a space between two certainties, where new images and insights could arise. Intimate and unfamiliar at the same time.
A daily practice of stillness and presence keeps me anchored — slowing down, staying open, and moving through when something gets stuck.
What emerges is more than an object. It is a field — a place where inner and outer dimensions meet, where alchemical phases, energetic resonances and material structures touch one another. A continuous search for inner gold, made visible in colour, texture and space.

Cross-over Ritual
An alchemical ritual of loss, memory and transformation.
Cross-over Ritual emerged from a personal experience of loss. After the death of someone I loved, I intuitively translated the body I could no longer see into fabric, thread and natural elements found at the place where he died, in Oudsberg nature reserve.
Through ritual and creation, the work explores the space between the visible and the invisible — between presence and absence, holding on and letting go.
The materials became a way of giving form to something that could no longer be touched or spoken to.
What remains when the physical falls away?
Memory. Presence. Essence.

Nigredo – The Dark Night of the Soul
I felt trapped in my own darkness. Mirrors became my material — because they reflected exactly what I couldn't face: my disconnection, my inability to love myself. I saw the world through mistrust, loneliness, and criticism. The suffering of others — natural disasters, animal cruelty — haunted me constantly.
Everything felt fragmented. Broken down. Decaying.
This was the reduction to prima materia — the raw, chaotic essence from which something new could eventually be born.
—
Ik voelde me gevangen in mijn eigen duisternis.
Alles voelde versnipperd. Ontbonden. In verval.

Albedo – The White Purification
A first breath of space. The chaos didn't disappear, but something in me began to settle.
I found comfort in old images and stories — photos of ruins, of people searching for treasure among debris. I painted parts white, not knowing then that I was reaching for purification. Trying to bring order to what had fallen apart.
The connection with myself was still fragile. But it was there.
—
Albedo – De Witte Zuivering

Citrinitas – The Golden Gate
Slowly, colour returned.
I began to look at what I had kept hidden — my shadows, my deeper layers. Not to fix them, but to see them. This phase brought me to a threshold: old patterns loosening, new horizons opening. A growing light, like the first warmth of morning.
An awakening. The beginning of a new consciousness.
—
Citrinitas – De Gouden Poort

Rubedo – The Inner Gold
Everything came together. Not perfectly — but wholly.
I was drawn to softness, to the feminine, to thread and fabric and warmth. To connection. The fire of Kundalini energy moved through what had once felt frozen. Spirit and matter, finally at home in each other.
Red — the colour of the completed Magnum Opus. Not an ending, but a new beginning. The cycle ready to turn again.
—
Rubedo – Het Innerlijke Goud
Alles kwam samen.
